Frequently asked questions

About Suvadu

Suvadu is a portable memory layer for AI. It gives every AI tool you use — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor — a shared, persistent memory. Tell one tool something, and every tool knows it. Memories are stored as plain markdown files on your machine.

Locally: Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, and any MCP-compatible tool.
With Cloud: Also ChatGPT (requires Plus or Team) and Google Gemini.

ChatGPT’s memory is locked inside ChatGPT. You can’t see it, edit it as a file, or carry it to another tool. Suvadu stores memories as plain .md files that every tool can read. Switch tools — your context travels with you.

Yes. Every memory is a .md file in ~/.suvadu/memories/. Open them in VS Code, Obsidian, Notepad — any text editor. Edit or delete them freely. They’re your files.

Free Trial & Pricing

Yes — 50 memories, one machine, no signup, no time limit. No credit card required. When you’re ready for unlimited, run suvadu upgrade ($49 one-time).

You’ll be prompted to upgrade. Your existing memories stay accessible. Pro ($49, one-time) unlocks unlimited memories forever. Activation is automatic after purchase.

$49 (Pro) and $99 (Pro + Cloud Support) are one-time payments. No subscriptions, no renewals. Your license is yours forever.

Visit the pricing page and choose the Cloud Support add-on ($50 one-time). It adds 1 year of cloud deploy help, updates, and email support.

Not satisfied within 30 days? Email us for a full refund — no questions asked. Applies to all paid tiers.

Suvadu Cloud

A Google account with billing enabled. The setup creates a private project in your Google Cloud account — you don’t need an existing Google Cloud project. Deploy is free; upgrade to Pro for unlimited memory.

Suvadu Cloud gives you an OpenAPI endpoint. You create a Custom GPT in ChatGPT that connects to it. Requires ChatGPT Plus or Team — the free tier doesn’t support Custom GPTs.

Yes. The $99 Pro + Cloud Support tier includes the full Pro license. If you stop using Cloud, Pro works forever for local use.

Suvadu creates a new, isolated project in your account. It won’t touch your existing projects, billing, or resources.

Typically $0-2/month. Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, and Secret Manager all have generous free tiers. Most Suvadu users stay inside them. Google bills you directly — we never charge you again.

Suvadu Cloud is just a server. Google Cloud is the recommended path with one-click deploy. Manual deployment elsewhere is possible but not officially supported.

Privacy & Data

Yes. Local memories are plain markdown files on your machine — they never leave. Cloud memories are in your own Google Cloud Storage bucket — we never have access to them.

Anonymous usage analytics (feature usage, not memory content) help us improve. No memory content is ever collected. Opt out any time by asking your AI to disable Suvadu telemetry.

Your memories are plain markdown files — on your machine or in your own cloud bucket. They’re yours forever. Your license works offline.

Exactly the same. Plain .md files with YAML frontmatter. If you switch from Cloud to Local, download them from your bucket and drop them in ~/.suvadu/memories/.

Troubleshooting

Visit suvadu.aisforapp.com/recover and enter the email you used at checkout. We’ll send a recovery link that activates your new device automatically.

Google requires an active billing account to create projects. Visit the Google Cloud billing page to verify your billing is set up and enabled.

Try again from the deploy page — most failures are temporary Google Cloud issues. If it fails twice, email us with your session ID (shown on the error page) and we’ll help.
